This abandoned dog and the orphaned kitten had both experienced horrible losses in their lives, but by banding together, they were able to reclaim love and strength and begin to recover.
The kitten, Junior, was abandoned on the streets of Aleppo after the pup, Amira, tragically gave birth to an entire litter of stillborn puppies.
But, thanks to Mohammad Alaa Jaleel, these two lost souls were reunited and found solace in one another.
They were both saved from a life on the streets by Mohammad, and at his rescue house, they not only found shelter, but also love and family.
Mohammad has earned the moniker “The Cat Man of Aleppo” on the internet. This is because of his efforts to care for cats that have been abandoned as a result of Syria’s civil war.
Mohammed decided to take Amira to his rescue center when he found her. He discovered the beautiful rescue pooch was pregnant not long after that. Amira then delivered birth a short time later.
Her puppies, however, were all stillborn.
Amira lamented the loss of her children, and Mohammad’s heart ached for her.
Amira was given a teddy bear to hug by a worker at the shelter.
Junior, the orphaned kitten, however, had a better idea.
He knew how it felt to be alone and approached the distraught mother.
When he finally got to Amira, the gentle orphan gave her an Eskimo kiss.
And with that, they both realized they were meant to be together.
The two become inextricably linked.
They took naps, hugged, and ate meals together.
Junior adored his adopted mother, Amira, who treated him as if he were her own child.
They were finally loved and happy again because they were together.
