With the help of the team, an abandoned kitten was transported to a vet in New York with severely broken legs, but we have good news! With the help of a custom-built Lego wheelchair, the kitten has been given a second shot to walk.
He’s known as Mac, short for Mac n Cheez, because he was discovered in a discarded macaroni cheese box. Dr. Ned Horowitz recalled, “We dropped him on the ground and he just flew off.”
“We took x-rays, and he’s on medication to hopefully heal him,” Horowitz said, “and he’s starting to slowly regain some use of his legs.” He’s eating well, he’s a lot of fun, and he’s really cuddly.”
He is now being cared for by the veterinary hospital team and will be available for adoption once he is healthy enough.
Mac now has his own Facebook page where followers can follow his progress, which includes swimming lessons and physical therapy with tiny exercise balls.
