It’s difficult to choose a pet from a shelter. There are so many adorable pets waiting to be adopted that you won’t be able to take them all home with you. This is something Elliot and Nathaniel Green are well aware of. They went to an animal shelter to adopt a cat, but they had no idea what happened next.
The couple visited the Lynchburg Humane Society in Virginia, United States, with the intention of adopting a Siamese cat. There was just one, though, and it was on hold. Elliot and Nathan were bummed to have to return home empty-handed until one cat took an interest in them.
Merlin, the blind cat, had been waiting a long time to be adopted. No one wanted the cat since it was blind, yet he was equally as gorgeous as any other cat at the shelter.
Even though he was blind, the 2-year-old ball of fluff rushed to the pair and quickly hit it off with Elliot. The cat cuddled up to him, demonstrating that he understands what he was doing.
Merlin had no problems adjusting to his surroundings, according to the shelter’s employees.
He was constantly in a good mood and wanted to cuddle all day. The couple knew what they had to do as soon as Merlin curled up Elliot’s arm.
Merlin was adopted by the ecstatic fathers, who created an Instagram page for their new pet.
