On Sunday, December 20th, when pedestrians heard a faint meowing emanating from a storm drain in Southern California, David Loop of Sierra Pacific FurBabies hurried to the rescue. Despite doing everything he could to reach the kitten on his own, he was unable to do so.
The next day, a bunch of rescuers, including All American Plumbing, came together, and the kitty was rescued after 33 hours. Loop gave the kitten the name Piper and provided him with a warm, safe, and dry home until he is ready to find a forever home. Loop described why Piper is currently being created earlier today.
Several people have questioned why Piper is in a box… Even though kittens are adorable, they must be separated from the rest of the cats until they can be adequately tested for diseases such as Felv, FIP, and FIV. When I receive a new cat or kitten, I keep it separate from the others for a while. I don’t think they’re complaining; they’re simply unaware.
