The grateful mama knew she couldn’t relax just yet after a stray cat and her two pups were located and rescued in Port Coquitlam.
She was well aware that she needed to bring her other infants to safety as well, and she was the only one who knew where they were or even that they existed. The frantic mother pleaded with her savior to let her go again, and she eventually got her to wish.
The cat dashed outdoors and returned to the carport, where she and her two babies had been discovered. She walked inside and emerged with a small kitten in her mouth.
She returned four more times until she had retrieved all five of her remaining kittens.
After all of the babies were discovered, VOKRA, the Vancouver Orphan Kitten Rescue Association, was contacted, and they were delighted to assist the family. One of the kittens needed medical attention since a portion of his rear limb was missing.
The kitten’s leg was infected, but thanks to VOKRA’s help, his foster family was able to provide him with the necessary care.
Dipping his small limb in a liquid that stimulates healing was part of the procedure.
He was also given the pirate moniker “Long John Silver,” albeit he didn’t get a matching wooden peg leg!
Despite his broken leg, the young kitten was as cheerful as his siblings and enjoyed practicing running on all threes.
After all, nothing can stop a joyful and lively kitty.
And the kittens’ mother was overjoyed; she could finally unwind and enjoy her time with her children without worrying about their safety.
She’d put in a lot of effort for them, and it had paid off.
Sassie, the mother’s given name, had proven herself to be a true hero.
She left no guy behind and was successful in providing a good life for all of her kittens.
One of the most powerful things on the planet is a mother’s love.
