Jason Frost and Brandon Key had no clue what they were going to capture when they went fishing on the Black Warrior River in Alabama several years ago. They never expected it would turn into a “cat-fishing” expedition, but that’s precisely what occurred when they saved two kittens that ran out from shore in search of safety on their boat.
“You’re not going to believe what’s swimming towards our boat”, Frost says in his now-viral video of the kittens’ experience, “A kitten.” The kittens are excellent swimmers and seem appreciative for the rescue, despite being soaked and afraid. Frost guesses that their prior owners abandoned them there in the video at the conclusion of the story.
After reaching dry ground, Frost and Key came upon a family that fell head over heels in love with the kittens and decided to adopt them. The names River and Warrior were eventually modified to reflect their new identities.
