Due to its distinctive markings, a cat in China has become an internet celebrity.
It appears to be frowning in photos, with two black spots above its eyes and a mustache-shaped line under its nose.
In July, a video showing Panda on a car bonnet became viral on Douyin, China’s version of TikTok. Panda’s ‘sad expression’ amused many Chinese social media users, while others thought the pet “adorable because it is ugly”.

“Aww the cat appears unhappy as if being reprimanded by its owner haha,” said another.
“I love its little mustache,” added another. “Like Charlie Chaplin!”
In June, a moggie with similar facial markings to Panda became a trending subject on Chinese social media.
A woman who saw the stray cat on the street in Shanghai posted the photos online.
