Their owner discarded two extremely sweet but sad kitties to a shelter for no apparent reason.
The two girls clutched each other tightly, terrified and unaware of what was going on.
“These two sweet girls were just abandoned by their owner,” posted Yellow City Shelter Cats on Tuesday, a volunteer website that showcases cats in need of permanent homes.
“It’s understandable that they’re stressed, agitated, and cling to each other.”
Every year, around 3.2 million cats enter U.S. animal shelters, with over 800,000 being euthanized.
It’s challenging enough to find homes for all of these cats, but it’s even more difficult when the cats are attached and require a home together.
“Would you be willing to put these two sweet girls together in a home?” Yellow City Shelter Cats added their two cents.
Thankfully, a foster family has stepped up to take them in for the time being.
