This ginger cat, who lives on the campus of the University of Augsburg in Bavaria, Germany’s southernmost state, knows practically every student at the university.
Almost immediately after giving the first cuddle to a group of students, she returned every day to provide even more hugs and affection. Take a look at the Campus Cat!
“The Campus cat’s primary purpose, apart from napping, sleeping, and more sleeping, is to care for the students,” Andreas, Campus Cat Secretary, said in an interview. “In addition, the cat wanders all across campus to get a good look at all of the students from every faculty.”
Several students have said that Campus Cat helps them relax or cool before tests or papers or examinations. The Campus Cat lives in a nearby house where she is well-loved and cared for, and the owner is well-known to the school community from many years ago.
She just enjoys being in the company of students, and it makes her extremely happy to snooze on their laps and snuggle up next to them. Anything and everything will not keep her away from the students.
