As any cat owner knows, sometimes it is the human who adopts a cat, and other times it is the cat who adopts the person. Indy, a four-week-old kitten, was discovered in a parking lot with crusty eyes and protruding ribs. Fortunately, he met a family who wanted to help him right away and wanted to find a home for the kid – which never happened – but only because his future best buddies were already there.
The kitten was alone in the parking lot, with his mother and siblings nowhere to be found. The family promptly took him up and decided to clean him up before taking him to the animal shelter.
However, it appears that the kitten had other ideas…
He quickly warmed up to the family, cuddling up to them and even riding about inside the hood of one of his new buddies’ clothing.
On his rescuers’ laps, he finally had some nice food.
It didn’t take long for him to realize that his new forever family already arrived!
Indy’s eyes began to mend. He rapidly adjusted to his new surroundings and developed into a serious “cuddle bug” as well as an active little cat.
He was even taken under the wing of the family’s 15-year-old cat, with whom he has formed an incredible connection.
