Tradition is very important during the holidays. Holiday cards, however, are a losing tradition in this age of tight schedules and technological contact. But not in this family’s case!
Every year, one of their favorite things to do is send out the craziest and funniest Christmas cards they can think of in the hopes of spreading holiday pleasure to their friends and family and bringing a smile to the new year. Here are some of their personal favorites!
1. A Christmas Card photoshoot in bear country
It all began in 2009 when they dressed up as Santa and Mrs. Claus for a children’s event. For a chuckle, they shot a humorous picture with dogs on the front stoop and sent it out as our Christmas card. They made it a yearly tradition since people loved it so much. The photographers and we look forward to their Christmas Card Day all year!

“We do this because of the reactions of our family and friends. It’s a terrific way to remind them that we’re thinking of them all the time, and we take care to customize each card with a small, handwritten note.
Our cards are used as Christmas decorations by many of our family and friends. We’ve seen family and friends use them to decorate their fireplace hearths, put them on their refrigerators, and put them on their work desks. But it all comes down to one of my closest pals for me. He has the most contagious laugh, and I’ve been trying to get that laugh for 47 years. These cards are always effective”-says the family.

7. Dog vs. gingerbread cookie (Part 2)
After discovering one of his gingerbread cookies was missing an arm, one of our sons came up with the Gingerbread Cookie idea. He pointed the finger at our dog, who stood nearby with cookie crumbs on his snout. Our son thought it would be amusing if I played the Gingerbread Cookie in a recreation of the scenario. I was the one who ate the cookie arm, by the way, and I have no idea where the dog’s crumbs came from!
