Cotton is someone you should get to know. The cat that had been discovered blind in the wild was saved, and when he opened his eyes one day, he startled everyone.
“He began to gain weight gradually. The fact that he had one blue and one yellow eye came as a pleasant surprise. Cotton’s hair began to regrow,” said Carmen Weinberg, founder of Animal Friends Project, in an interview on Cotton’s remarkable transformation.
The kitten was discovered in the streets of Royal Palm Beach, Florida. Cotton “came out of nowhere” and began eating from the dish of food the man who spotted him had for his cat.
Cotton seemed “very starving, as if he hadn’t eaten in days,” he said.
When Weinberg responded to the man’s Facebook post, he asked whether he could help the cat. “I drove to bring him up early the following morning. I brought him to my veterinarian right away… and they verified that he had mange.”
Cotton couldn’t keep his eyes open due to mange condition, but Weinberg was determined to help the kitty recover – and today Cotton is a healthy and beautiful cat!
