A dying woman had only one wish… Read on to learn more about this touching story…

Carol Heizman’s dying wish was a basketful of cats. She had always been a cat-lover.

As a result, the staff at Groves Community Hospice in Kansas City, where Heizman lives, decided they had to grant her wish.

The SPCA stated, “We brought not just one, but a complete basket of kittens to snuggle up to.”

Heizman smiled as she looked at the five small fur babies rolling around in a large wicker basket.

As the babies attempted to wriggle out of the basket, she said, “Look at all those lovely little fellas.”

“Oh, they’re so lovely,”

Each kitten was covered in a baby blanket by hospice nurses. Heizman had each of them in her grip.

One of them even walked across her shoulders.

The SPCA commented on the visit, “We all know that pets can sometimes be just what the doctor ordered.”

Through its “Happiness Is” project, hospice care has been working hard to grant residents’ requests.
