Dogs are famed for their bravery and loyalty. Most of them appear to have a tremendous sense of compassion and will go out of their way to help those around them, including other animals. Hazel turned out to be one of them!
Hazel is a joyful doggy living with her mom, Monica Burks, out in Abilene, Texas.
One day Hazel didn’t want to go outside, so she needed some encouragement. Monica became concerned when the 3-year-old puppy finally went outside and didn’t return after a few moments.
Monica was astonished to find her own beloved dog trotting up the driveway with a little, damp kitten beside her when she went outside to look for Hazel.
Seeing that tiny wet kitten in the rain, Hazel made the decision to assist the kitten by leading it to Monica for assistance.
Hazel can be seen rushing up the driveway with her new little pal close after her in the short but lovely 45-second video. Though the kitten was following Hazel closely, you can sense she was anxious and hesitant since she didn’t know where Hazel was going. The cat even appeared to be about to run away for a brief minute, but Hazel gently turns around and persuades the kitten to continue following.
