Say hello to Bahati, the Lion King remake’s baby Simba model… See the inspiration to Lion King hero below…

Following the success of the animated classic The Jungle Book, director Jon Favreau and Disney collaborated to produce a new version of The Lion King, which premiered in theaters on July 19, 2019 and starred Donald Glover, James Earl Jones, Seth Rogen, Beyoncé, and Billy Eichner.

If you have seen this version in the theater, you might be surprised to learn that the adorable baby Simba in the film was based on a genuine baby lion Bahati. He is a cub that lives in the Dallas Zoo in Texas, United States of America.

She was merely a month-old cub when her video was shared with Disney.
Bahati, however, is now a fully developed two-and-a-half-year-old lioness.

If you’re a fan of Bahati, you can meet the bewhiskered face behind Disney’s new Simba in movie theaters or the Dallas Zoo’s lion exhibit.

You are welcome to share this post because Bahati is adorable and The Lion King is a must-see.
