Photographer captures black cats in the hope of… Read on to know why…

Because of something that isn’t their fault, black cats have the lowest adoption rates and the highest euthanasia rates. One reason could be that they have been labeled as “bad luck” or “wicked” as a result of superstitions propagated through movies and novels. As a result, they’re usually on the list of creepy Halloween symbols, and people don’t like them.

Casey Elise Christopher, an animal enthusiast and pet photographer from Los Angeles, decided to use animal photography to help these beautiful felines find homes. She began by taking cute photos of black cats at the shelters to highlight their beauty and personalities. Casey captured black cats against a basic black background for this Halloween-themed series, letting their beauty and endearing personalities shine through.

West Los Angeles Animal Services and Milo’s Sanctuary are caring for the cats on this list. “I wanted to demonstrate that beautiful photos of these cute creatures are possible. I hope that my photographs encourage people to adopt such lovely kitties and help at their local animal shelter “Casey remarked.
