Everyone has had a bad hair day at some point in their lives; unfortunately for Hidey, his bad hair day persisted for years. This abandoned cat with extremely matted fur that resembled “dreadlocks” was recovered from it in a shelter in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, after it had been neglected for a long time.
She was discovered to be suffering from a severe case of matting. The matted hairs were around 6 to 8 inches in length, and they contained a mixture of excrement and tangled hair in them.
She was in such pain that she couldn’t even move or walk about. But, at long last, she has the opportunity to be happy and comfortable once more.
Upon discovering Hidey lurking in the basement, she was transferred to the Western Pennsylvania Humane Society’s Animal Rescue League and Wildlife Shelter, which is affiliated with the Western PA Humane Society.
It took hours to get rid of all of the dreads, and then even longer to shave the matted hair entirely off.
Hidey is settling in to her new home for the first time. Hidey is feeling a whole lot better now that she’s rid of all of her matted hair and her dreadlocks.
After being rescued, she will be cared for by a distant family of her previous owner, giving her the opportunity to live a happy and healthy life.
