Laila is a feline foster mother who enjoys caring for and fostering abandoned kittens. So when she received a call asking whether she could take in two newborn kittens, she said yes right away. She went out and fetched a container to bring the kittens home.
The kittens were discovered abandoned on the side of the road, with no sign of their mother. Laila took on the role of mom cat to help them live and thrive because they were so fragile and unwell. She treated them as if they were her own children as if she were a cat mom.
“The first thing I’d do is wake them up with a soft toothbrush, simulating their mother licking them awake.” Every two hours, I had to feed them. “I’d toilet and feed them every two to three hours,” she explained.
They were adamant about not giving up the fight, which Laila loved right away. The kittens began to regain their strength, and their personalities began to emerge. They were feisty, noisy, daring, and amusing.
They are so dissimilar, yet they are inextricably linked. Everything they do is in concert. They were eventually adopted by a New York family, which was a blessing. They came into this world with a significant disadvantage, but now they enjoy a joyful existence with their caring owners!
