Meet Ozzy, a gorgeous Siamese/Tabby mix who is come to sweep everyone’s hearts away with his unexpected passion for peaches and other sweet treats. Lydia Coutre, a 27-year-old Clevelander who lives with her parents and their eight-year-old cat Ozzy, recently posted a series of photographs of the cat protecting some peaches on Twitter, stating that the cat is a huge fan of the fruit. It’s not that he enjoys eating them very much. Cuddling with them is something he enjoys.
Since his adoption by the Coutré family in the fall of 2013, Ozzy has been a member of the family. It was love at first sight for Lorraine and her mother when they first laid eyes on Ozzy, despite the fact that they had no intention of extending their family at that time. The first time the family discovered his fondness for peaches was in 2014 when he was in town for the peach season for the first time. He nuzzles them, uses them as a pillow to rest on, or simply stands over them, watching over them, protecting them.
Ozzy’s parents leave the peaches to mature on sheets of newspaper, which provides Ozzy with the perfect chance to build a home for himself. Because of Ozzy’s peculiar obsession with the summer stone fruit, the Coutré family has turned it into a running joke. Within a few short days, the message went viral, garnering more than 60,000 retweets and more than 100,000 likes on Facebook. Ozzy, on the other hand, appears to be unconcerned with his growing celebrity; he appears to be considerably more concerned about the peach season coming to an end.
