This mother Lynx had been imprisoned and forced to reproduce for several years. However, as soon as she gave birth to a litter, they were taken away from her without a second thought.
The kittens were subsequently marketed all over the world as high-end pets. Or even worse, they may be transformed into fur.
Until Dr. Victor Lukarevsky and his colleagues discovered and saved her. Watch as this Lynx overcomes adversity to become an incredible, caring mother in the video.
Dr. Lukarevsky’s objective was to rescue them and rehabilitate them so they may return to the wild in Russia’s Ural Mountains.
“When I saw them, I believed there was no way you could bring those animals back to health and rehabilitate them,” BBC’s Gordon Buchanan tells inews.
“However, [Dr.] Victor [Lukarevsky] pointed out that they were born in the wild and hence have the same natural wild instincts.”

The Lynx began to show indications of improvement after being given a better diet and more outdoor area to move.
It was critical to their goal that the Lynx remain afraid and distrustful of humans. The Lynx must maintain a safe distance from humans in order to thrive in the wild.
Humans, unfortunately, will be her greatest threat if she returns to the wild.
In order to provide for herself and her litter, the Lynx must also be taught ‘hunting behavior.’ To hear a bird flap its wings or a mouse race across the forest floor, they’ll need to establish a hunting mode.
