Isa Bredt is a 22-year-old illustrator from the Netherlands who is most known for her work with Pet Disneyfication. She was given this moniker because she frequently transforms pet images from all over the world into Disney-style artworks.
All of the animals in Isa’s drawings appear to be characters from the next Walt Disney film! Many people mistake Isa for a Disney employee since they are so flawless.
She did, however, remind out that she is not a Disney employee. “I’m simply a huge fan.” My all-time favorite film is The Lion King, which I used to watch on a regular basis as a kid. Lady and the Tramp, 101 Dalmatians, and The Aristocats are among my favorite vintage animal films.”
Drawing has been a lifelong love for her since she was a youngster, but it wasn’t until the end of high school that she began to explore it as a potential job. That was one of the factors that influenced her decision to pursue a career in art and animation. She did, however, leave her study during her third year to pursue a career as a pet picture artist.
In an interview, she said, “Pet disneyfications was something I did very irregularly in my spare time for around 5 years.” “I began because I was and continue to be a huge lover of both sketching animals and the old Disney aesthetic,” says the artist.
She began her pet portrait business on Reddit, where she met her husband. “There was a subreddit where you could give people free art in exchange for their email address. “I wanted to get some practice sketching in the Disney style, so I offered free sketches to anybody who sent me images of their dogs,” I explained.
“I did this a few times and people seemed to appreciate it a lot, despite the fact that I wasn’t particularly good at it yet,” she revealed. In the summer of 2016, I decided to take on commissions as a summer job since I didn’t want to work in the foodservice business again, and it went well enough that I decided to start an Instagram account and continue doing commissions as a side career.
After her efforts rose in popularity, Bredt began illustrating animals in shelters and other situations where they were in need. She thinks that through painting pictures of these creatures, she may be able to help them find their forever homes. She is overjoyed since she is able to put her talents to good use through her employment.
