Dean the dog and Sonya the cat resided in a secluded home on the outskirts of the town. They obeyed the owners so they could roam the yard freely while the owners were at work.
Sonia had always known a peaceful and well-rested existence, with no room for deprivation. Then she made a mistake one day, going outside the yard on a stroll and being seen by a bunch of stray dogs.
They rushed at the cat, baring their teeth and encircling her on all sides. Sonya was unable to flee since she realized she would not be able to escape the dogs. She only snarled and meowed a few times, thinking Dean would hear her and protect her.
Dean didn’t need the cat’s calls since he was aware of what was going on. With a howl to the cat for assistance, the dog bolted outside and started chasing away a band of dogs. They did not withdraw, instead of turning around, as they did not want to give up their prey.
Fortunately, a neighbor saw the incident. The guy fired two shots into the air with his rifle. It occurred just as one of the dogs was attacking Dean. The flock was startled by the guy, so they withdrew into the woods. Sonia and Dean made their way back to their yard.
The rescuer was licked by the cat. Dean was able to do some wounds in a brief fight, and Sonia licked his wounds. Dean had managed to keep the cat unhurt.
