The Chinese owner, who goes by the surname An, told reporters that his two pets had formed a strong bond as a result of their shared upbringing.
Heartwarming footage shows the dog, Duo Duo, lovingly licking his best friend cat ‘Snowball’ as the pair cuddle up together at their home in Guangzhou, in southern China’s Zhejiang province.
Since last year, the pet owner has been posting videos of Duo Duo and Snowball on Douyin, which is China’s version of the popular social media platform TikTok. In just over a year, the account has amassed more than 143,000 followers.
In the words of Mr. An, the two furry best friends are always by each other’s side, even when they are sleeping.
The video shows Snowball looking content while snuggling up to Duo Duo, who is nibbling on its ears.
The account has gained over 143,000 followers, many of whom are moved by the beautiful friendship that exists between these pets.
A commenter wrote: “What a heart-warming story.” They must have known each other from a previous life;’ Another person commented, ‘The cat appeared to be really happy, and they appeared to be reliant on one another; I wish they could always be this happy together for the rest of their lives!’
It comes as another pet owner from the United States captured the sweet moment; her beagle puppy joins its feline friend on the lookout as the two gaze out the garden window together; Bo, the five-month-old puppy, is seen jumping on the sofa and taking a seat next to Jasper, the black cat; the two then gaze out the window into the backyard together, watching the birds.
