Going out for a taco bell, returning with a kitten instead…

Michelle Zack and her boyfriend recently decided to get a quick bite to eat at Taco Bell, but what they didn’t expect when they drove through the drive-thru was much more than they could have wished for. Michelle spotted something on the ground outside the speaker as they were pulling up to the speaker.

“I saw a little black cat as I was driving up to the speaker to place an order, and I stopped,” she said.

The fact that Michelle was refusing to go without the kitten was obvious. ‘My partner was well aware that I was planning on attempting to make friends with this kitten,’ she said.

Michelle and her boyfriend took the little guy home and decided to name him Black Bean. Later, Michelle got in touch with her friend, who runs an animal shelter.

And that’s exactly what she ended up doing! Michelle scooped up the little black cat and carried him back to the vehicle.. She placed the kitten on her lap as she proceeded to place their order for dinner.

There was no plan, but the couple realized they couldn’t simply abandon the cat in the middle of a busy street. It was difficult for Michelle to leave him there, but she didn’t know what to do with him either. “I couldn’t leave him there after he agreed to let me pick him up,” she said.

There is no way of knowing how Black Bean ended up in the Taco Bell drive-thru, but one thing is for sure - he was in the right place at the right time!

“I got in contact with my friend Dani, who runs The Runaways Animal Rescue, as soon as I came home,” Michelle said. In order to get a head start on a more comfortable life, I brought tiny Black Bean there the following morning.

We’re crossing our fingers and toes that Black Bean will find the ideal forever home.

We have our fingers and toes crossed for Black Bean to find his perfect forever home.

This cat  is “the sweetest little thing.”
