After spending days in the shelter, a Tortie kitten and her two littermates are overjoyed to have a family to care for them.
Every day, she became stronger and more active.
After each feeding, the lovely tortie would roll about happily in her nest, waving her little paws and begging for more rubs and head scritches.
Laura Malone, the director of Mini Cat Town (a San Jose, California-based cat rescue), was visiting a local shelter to pick up a litter of kittens when she came across a trio in need of rescue. “They came in as unweaned orphaned bottle babies at the same time as my litter of (five) fosters,” Laura said in an interview.
She returned home with the five, but she couldn’t stop thinking about the three, hoping that a foster volunteer or another rescue would come along and take them in soon.
“After a week with my litter of five bottle babies, I saw they were healthy and low care, so I decided to take on additional kittens.”
She arrived at the shelter as an orphan kitten with her two siblings.
She returned to the shelter and saw that the trio she met a week earlier was still looking for a foster home. “I’ll never forget these three! I removed them after a week of no rescue.”
The kittens needed round-the-clock feedings at two weeks old and would not have survived overnight at the shelter without care. Ana, an overnight volunteer, had stepped in to assist before the kittens were brought into Laura’s care.
After a week at the shelter, they were placed with a foster family.
Angel Soft, a small tortie, concerned everyone from the day she arrived at the shelter. She was small and had sad eyes, but as soon as she was covered in a towel, she was happy and eager to be catered to.
Laura began syringe-feeding the kittens and began treating them for gastrointestinal problems. They were given a cozy, warm nest to sleep in, as well as undivided care and affection.
Angel immediately brightened up in a cozy setting.
Angel soon brightened up when he realized he was in a nice home and had a full family to care for him around the clock.
Every day, the three grew larger and stronger. Their adventurous and fun nature came out in full force as a result of their increased strength. Angel soon found up how to use the litter box and how to cuddle on her owners’ laps.

Angel, despite her tiny size, is eager to keep up with her brothers, Charmin and Scott, and can compete with larger cats.
“Her demeanor is very calm and gentle for a tortie. They have a reputation for being feisty and tenacious”, Laura said during the interview.
Angel enjoys the new toys, basket, and other luxuries that come with their playpen, but as soon as she notices an empty lap, she rushes to fill it.
“She’s very nice and affectionate. She is usually the first to get into my lap for hugs and petting.”
Ana, the nightly volunteer, recently paid a visit to the three and was ecstatic with their development.
“She was overjoyed to see them all healthy and flourishing. She was happy to meet Angel Soft since the shelter workers had been worried about her when she initially came.”
Angel and her siblings are growing into healthy, happy cats, thanks to the assistance of numerous volunteers and a kind foster home.
